Pros

Monitor has amazing color & vibrance with very little light bleeding. Color photos which i have edited and printed from my calibrated system look right on this monitor. I just adjusted the coloring a bit, it's not perfect but it will do!

Needed it for amiga 500 display, still waiting on an adapter from another vendor. This monitor is my go-to accessory monitor for my laptop.

The economical price is certainly not indicative of any reduction in quality. The warrantee is solid and the product performs as describe. Thankfully this seller on amazon still has them in stock.

Cons

Dell does not offer drivers for osx, therefore forget about firmware updates. The screen goes black randomly every few minutes. I wish they would list that this monitor's panel has a bgr sub-pixel layout in the tech specs to let mac users know this mo... Read More

Photos and hd video on this dell monitor are decent, but certainly nothing to brag about. Rather than refund a few hundred bucks, they feel entitled to lots of my time.

All of the units are rev a00 (including the one that does not exhibit the problem) i recommend not purchasing the p2414h until dell acknowledges the problem, recalls the defective units, and fixes the root cause.

Competitiveness

I have one for my computer and love it, so i ordered one for my wife's machine.

Nice clear display, casing had some blemishes and funky dirt but i knew it was a referb so no star deduction.

Monitor can be overclocked about 20hz over the standard.
