Pros

This hub contains a usb see power pass-through, and additionally a second usb-c, which you could use for the dell video. Connected via displayport and have had zero issues.

The monitor runs at 2560x1440 (the standard 27 rez for mac) it has a 60hz refresh rate so there are better options for competitive gaming, but at 27 inches it has plenty of space for creative design programs.

The build of this monitor is really nice and the stand make it so i can rotate the whole screen. Vertical, rotational, and other positioning is easy. It also allows you to rotate 90 degrees for portrait orientation.

Cons

Really, really crummy customer service dell. The uniformity cooler/warmer areas bugs me. Another caveat is that this monitor does not have service tag or express tag for dell customer support.

Quality

I was impressed with the quality of the picture.

Not a bad monitor, the picture quality is good but the anti glare coating is a little thick for me.

I had issues with the color uniformity.

Cons:build quality may not be the best, because of issue with deal pixels.

Price

Glad i got it when it was a lower price.

My biggest issue with it is that freakin price.

I've noticed the price of this monitor swing within a large range so make sure not to over pay.

Shipping

Not sure if this was an oversite or a shipping issue.

The shipping box appears to gave been opened, and there is no stand, and the power cord is the wrong one for the monitor.

Packaging/appearance

It is also consistent across the screen.

After almost a week of using it, i noticed a few dead pixels in the left side where the screen looked pink.

As many others noted, there were very thin gray horizontal lines going through the screen.

Competitiveness

Looks better than my rmbp mid-2014 13” side by side @ “default” mode for both displays.

Have had since may and still works like a champ!

But it only was showing a 30hz refresh rate -- which caused noticeable lag on such a large display.

I tried a lower version of the dell ultrasharp, but the resolution was poor and not even close to the retina.
