Pros

This dock works well with my laptop. There are a lot of these on ebay at a significant discount so that may be something to look into if the cost is prohibitive for you.

The seller’s communication is phenomenal. The only obnoxious part is that they offer 2 inputs for hdmi and 1 for displayport.

Cons

This dock does not use thunderbolt technology (usb-c) to connect to the laptop. You still have to plug in the laptop charging cable in addition to the dock cable. This "dock" is an unreliable port replicator.

This is a catastrophic design failing that should never have been approved by serious design engineers. There was no inspection of the contents to make sure all the correct parts were sent with the dell docking station.

I bought a “used-like new” version for over 50% savings, and it looks and works like new.
