If i am away from my home monitor for a week or so and using hd monitors away from home then when i come back this blows my mind everytime

As an architect i work with cad and various dtp software which obviously benefits from 4k as i am able to fit more detail onto my screen and lineweights display closer to the way they would appear on a printed page

The reality is though that even basic tasks benefit from the additional resolution being able to see more cells in excel spreadsheets having more email folders on screen in outlook or even being able to see multiple pages of a word document at once

The buttons for controlling the monitor settings are horrible to use but thankfully the application dell display manager which can be downloaded from dells website for free allows you to programme keyboard shortcuts to toggle the monitors source input meaning that you shouldnt need to use the monitor buttons very often

There is a usb hub although not kvm switch which could have been useful

I have used the hub occasionally however i found that my mouse was not running smoothly when connected through the monitor

This could be a problem with my laptop or the usbc cable rather than the monitor

The usbc cable which is supplied with the monitor is very short
