While the machine was unplugged i opened the back to look at the rotar inside and there was thick black ash coating everything

I carefully cleaned the ash out and closed the back of the machine and after that i had no issues when washing clothes

I accidentally put hot water in it once and the burning smell returned this was after the aforementioned ash issue not prior but that was entirely my fault not the machines
