Clean up is a snap making it worth bypassing the oven or stovetop. It has many functions on them which is very useful in many circumstances. Ithe multi functional nature of this machine is worth it to me.
It heats up quickly and the sear setting does a great job on meats. Preheats waaaaaaaay faster. You can even preheat it while you are getting ready for work.
Cons
One of the griddle plates has scratches, as if something was rubbing against it. The top plate heats up every time you switch on the grill.

We've had thos product for a month, and have used it to make sliders, grilled cheese, fried eggs, waffles, and to grill meat indoors.
On the fourth attempt the heating elements did not warm up.
Price
Well worth the extra dollars to get the internal heating elements that are within the plates versus underneath them.
The knobs belong on a product that costs 1/2 or 1/3 the price.

In my case, the 1030 wasn't available, and the 1020 plus the plates worked out to roughly the same price anyway.

You need a lot of counter or rack space to store it and you have either one or two sets of extra plates to deal depending on whether you opt for the waffle plates

It counts down whether the grill is ready or not which doesnt make a lot of sense we have a breville smart oven air and when you set the timer it doesnt start until it reaches temperature

Thats how this should work but it doesnt it might as well be a regular old kitchen timer except that it does shut the grill off when it reaches zero
