I bought this because i got an amazing price for it (if i’m being honest).
As our old kettle ($15) didn't have this issue at all.
Overall: good kettle and if you get it at a good price then i would say its a great deal even with the very minor complaints .
Shipping
It is very easy to use and delivery is super fast，i ordered on wednesday night and it has already arrived on friday morning.
I wasn't sure if flame red would make it boil faster - but i am pretty sure it does.

This is similar to the previous delonghi kettle we had and eventually the water collected in the chrome surround near the base of the kettle and it started to peel flake off

So make sure you dry it off when the water runs down the side
