All three versions of the machine do this though. If it's sticking just wash it with warm soapy water to remove any build up. The manual includes several remedies for all of these issues.

Emptying the coffee pucks is simple and not very messy.

More metal in the construction, tactile pre-programmed buttons as opposed to touch sensitive, and a manual frothing option.

Price

So far we’re really happy with this pricey multi function machine.

The machine does go through water faster than i would have expected, but that’s the price of those self cleaning options.

Competitiveness

We got this one, the ecam44660, which is the least expensive of the three.

The evo and cappuccino top versions cost $300 and $600 more.
