Pros & Cons
Pros
The cases are extremely light when empty and extremely durable. I hope the handle, wheels and the case hold up to being dragged through cobblestone streets for three weeks. Wheels seem to be sturdy enough.
The delsey is more square while the travelpro is tapered at the top. The travelpro has very slightly less wiggle and operates more smoothly than the delsey. It is also expandable if you're going to be traveling back with goodies from your trip. If you... Read More
Blue is my favorite color and this one is a nice pretty, deep hue. I was obsessed with its beauty. Great value for money.
Internal here is where the delsey shines. Sizes are mens xl for reference.
Cons
I want this company to contact me for a replacement or refund. But, much worse is they don’t stand by the warranty.
Horrible luggage. It's no longer usable.
Highlights
Quality
This luggage has great capacity and is well made.
Pretty color and very durable so far.
The cases are extremely light when empty and extremely durable.
The rubber flange separated from the hard shell and repair was not possible.
Price
This is the lowest priced true carryon size i could find that features a polycarbonate shell (you want that!
Was looking for a delsey for a while and came across this on sale with an amex special.
Shipping
Contacted portmanos who sent prepaid return mailing label.
It took about a week and half.
Packaging/appearance
It has great packing areas to keep your clothes from wrinkling.
I easily packed dress-up clothes & shoes, casual clothes and 2 lbs of pretzels (for uk friends).
The delsey was less than full with nothing "stuffed" to fit; i could certainly fit more items on top of what was packed.
I like the color, they packed well and am about to use on 1,000 mile car trip for first time travel trip.
Competitiveness
The travelpro has very slightly less wiggle and operates more smoothly than the delsey.
We also purchased another cheaper brand hardcase and the zipper split after the first trip.
The travelpro is significantly less weight than the delsey but, that is to be expected with hard vs soft luggage.
I am comparing the delsey 21" carry on to a soft side travelpro maxlite 5 21" spinner.
