Pros & Cons
Pros
This is the best accessory that i have purchased. For the weekend warrior, this fence can't be beat. Imo the praise is well deserved.
It is a little difficult to make those fine adjustments to the location of the fence. I long for the funny little screw adjustment that the original delta fence had. Locks down tight and square.
The fence glides smoothly throughout its travel left and right. It slides with just finger pressure and locks solidly. It is smoother than any i've used.
The only downside to this fence is the installation. Overall, this is an upgrade i'm extremely glad to have made.
This saw was left to me by my great grandfather. Used one of the existing holes for the rails, and drilled all the others in the saw table to match the fence rails. If you live near a lowe's, this fence is usually on display on their delta table saw.
Cons
The rear clamp is cheaply designed. The locking mechanism is weak.
Highlights
Quality
The fence is well made and much heavier that i expected.
Very well made and very easy to install.
The hole spacing did not line up with the holes in my saw table so i drilled two holes and used existing holes in the extension wings.
Before, the original fence would start drifting and the cuts were never square.
Price
This was the perfect fence for the price.
Good price easy to install i would recommend it to any one easy to use works great left or right
And a new saw is not in the budget.
Considering i only paid $400 for the saw, i couldn't bring myself to spend that much on a fence, so i went for the "compromise"... Read More
Shipping
The delta t2 arrived to my doorstep in 4 days for a total of 190.
Found it for $149 from another internet source and received it 3 days after ordering.
The shipping damage is the only reason i didn't go with 5 stars.
Packaging/appearance
Two minor notes--the packaging was really beat up when i received the fence.
The fence came in one box and was well packaged.
Competitiveness
I searched for an alternative to a $400+ biesemeyer and found this delta fence.
There are a lot of other biesemeyer clones out there, all selling for 2-3 times the price of the delta t2.
I purchased the delta t2 fence system simply because it was the cheapest "quality" fence system i could find.
