Pros
The delta 50-850 has adequate suction for 30 feet of 4 inch ducting. It comes with about 10 feet of hose and 4 3 inch wire hose *. The five foot hose is of very high quality, but unfortunately too short for most applications.
Noise level is tolerable. Sensible wearing of earmuff-type noise protectors when operating in the shop resolves this concern. Is quieter then a shop vac and doesn't clog.
The motor is very heavy duty and seems to run fine on 110v 12/2 wire with 20 amp breaker. The temptation to use the power cord like a dog leash is strong. Fit and finish great - no blemishes.
Getting the most out of your dust collector can be tricky. This is the second delta 1250 cfm dust collector i have purchased, and am totally satisfied with it and recommend it whole heartedly.
The delta comes with 2 30 micron bags and 2 plastic bags to hold sawdust. The plastic bag makes it all fun to watch and easy to see when to empty the bag but it is more difficult to get the retaining strap to stay in place than on the fiber bag of old... Read More

The tiawan motor keeps burning out starting capacitors. The finer bag they don't include is well over $100.

I think it should come standard with the 1 micron bag you make it an option so you don't have to pay for the standard bag.

Much quieter than i expected and well worth the cost.

I purchased this dc about three months ago from amazon (great deal with no tax, no shipping - 3 day fedex!
With no sales tax and free shipping, i also got the best price available.
Upon taking it out of the box, the metal base that it sits on was damaged from shipping.
Packaging/appearance
With that minor issue out of the way .
Nothing a rubber mallet couldn't fix but this was done at the factory, there was no visible damage to the box or packaging.
You get 2 bags in the pack so you're only paying about $45 per bag.
Competitiveness
Did a lot of reading of diffferent reviews and settled on this one compared to the 760 because the static numbers are higher.
So far i've used it with my tablesaw, bandsaw and router station with much sucess.
However, i was able to find this machine at my local rockler dealer, and the b&m store included the 1 micron bags, .

My product manual indicates that a 20 amp 115 volt circuit is required

Assembled in less than thirty minutes out of the box thanks to easy to follow directions the unit was plugged in hooked up to the table saw and turned on
