Pros

Great product except for cleaning it has too many small crevasses that build up gunk.

The only downside is that it's a little noisy. Of course, they get louder if the water runs low. You know when to add more water by the clear refill container.

If your kitty loves to drink from the faucet. The fountain is the best for my cats!

It has a stopper like a hamster bottle so water doesn't continually pour out. Water stays clean and fresh longer because of the reservoir.

Cons

Design flaw is the lack of a pre-filter for the pump. The motor is loud and the backup water container doesn't drain properly. This newer one is louder and overflows on the floor.

The model we have actually came with some type of screen and a water flow regulator, but the new motor didn't allow the use of either.
