Pros

Depstech-view works on google pixel 2, pixel 3, and pixel 3 xl. Works in linux using ubuntu 20. And motion at the terminal. The only app with that full name was offered by yuanpei.

This is great for electrical work! In addition, provided methods to replace the device and ensure customer satisfaction.

The depstech usb endoscopes are perfect little cameras for monitoring my beehives. Neat little borescope.

Cons

I was misled by the high praise of previous reviewers. Uninstalled and reinstalled both apps, no luck. Android app is non-functional without phone and audio permissions.

Photo quality is poor with very blurred details throughout focal range. Camera lens is most likely cheap plastic, of poor design, or has been installed at incorrect distance from ccd array. Text is blurred, everything else in focal range is blurred.

Quality

All in all, i'm pleased with this product.

Picture quality is pretty good, the adjustable led works well, and the cable is stiff enough to push it through pipe.

Overall build quality is very good, don't know how long it will last but my old inspection camera went to trash can already.

You can take pics or vids with the app on your phone t evaluate the project.

Price

For the price, i think its a good endoscope.

While not fully tested yet: the price is right, the flex hose is as advertised, and the camera is well lit and high resolution.

For the price everyone should have one.

Packaging/appearance

Just download the app from the playstore, plugged into my s8+ camera and i was off and running.

Competitiveness

Given how infrequently i'll likely need it, it's much better to have this than to have bought a dedicated borescope.

They also make an 8mp web cam, i think, but it has a reallllly wide backlight and isn't suitable for narrow spaces.

I've always wanted a borescope, and had a great idea.
