Pros & Cons
Pros
From mosquitoes to hornets, this thing does the trick. These work very well.
With 5v into the module the primary waveform is a 10us wide 125v half sine pulse at 6khz. This amps up the 3,000-4,000 volt zapper racket. Exceed it, and it perforates.
Cons
Came missing a wire. Worked at first, then degraded fast. When they worked at first i coukd only get an arc little over ¼ inch.
Highlights
Quality
This is the best ones i've come across easily arcs across 2 inchs, is extremely powerful and only runs off a 18650 style battery amazing
I've put 8 volts on them and they work great and the frequency increases with the voltage.
With the module's high voltage leads stripped and positioned 1/2 inch apart, it generates rapid loud bright sparks steadily, brzzzt!
The thin insulation on the output wires is easily breached by the voltage so watch how close and where you route them.
Competitiveness
Much better than the bbq grill ignitors.
