Xl is good for a snug but not restrictive compression for me. Usually wear large, ordered xl on advice of others. Medium fits snug and is perfect.

It helps keep you warm in lighter temps but here comes my gripe. It was listed as thermal but performed very poorly at keeping me warm. Little to zero value as far as keeping you warm. Not very warm.
