Pros

This allows me to take several pairs of base layers and extend the time between washings of the mid layers. The fit isn't bad, as some might prefer some wrinkles, but i feel these sort of pants should fit clean with no wrinkles.

They are much less expensive than my favorite patagonia layers. They work fine for 40° temps. They are good down to about 10 degrees alone and then i add a heavier thermal layer.

Cons

They have a low rise waist and no room in the * area. If you are super skinny with a pancake * they might work.

There is nothing about these that are thermal. They are just like the super thin, cheap other versions on amazon that are listed as moisture wicking compression pants for staying cool in the heat. They say fleece lined, nope.
