Pros & Cons

Update Pros and Cons

Pros

The quick blade changer is wonderful. Love the quick change blade cradle. Easy change blade clutch. By far the easiest and best one i have used.

The variable trigger makes it very controllable. Very versatile in its uses. Gets into tighter places and delivers great power without the extra weight.

Owned a cheap corded unit before getting the dewalt. It works marvelously. Only issue is it was shipped unboxed in a plastic bag.

Dewalt * eater lasts longer than that. The batter seems to just last forever. Has bag, battery and charger.

Cons

Squeeze the lever, slide the tool off & slid the new on on. If it happens on the next on i’m switching to a milwaukee saw. This is very deceptive advertising - photos show the toll with battery and it states tool only which means means no battery....  Read More

Quality

Love the quick change blades (make sure you get compatible blades), the built in light, variable speed and relatively compact size.

The batteries fit this multitool just fine and i am very pleased with the quality of cuts it delivers.

Gat a carbide blade and it tore through like butter!

Never replaced it after it was stolen.

Price

For the price, you can't go wrong.

Shipping

The seller shipped item pretty fast, price was great.

Packaging/appearance

Packaging sucked as it was simply in a padded envelope.

Got this as open box with all the stuff.

I was surprised that the dcs354b came in an unpadded plastic bag and was only missing 1 of the 2 cutting blades.

Competitiveness

Thirdly, i read/watched many multitool comparisons that said the milwaukee was better.

Most of the battery tools used at work are either dewalt or milwaukee.
