Pros

This is the last cordless hand vac that you'll ever need. As the unit size is rather compact, it's suitable for large vacuuming jobs. Detachable hose is a nice feature and makes it easier to use.

People complain about this unit but some of them are just wrong. Some complain about the black flexible tube breaking. Dewalt has more battery powered tools than i could ever need, anyway. A 20v dewalt 5amp battery suffices for everything so far.

It has great suction. Good enough suction for a messy car. Some tips to remember for better performance is 1) remember to empty the vac tray after using it.

Cons

Dewalt needs to be more circumspect about its product testing. Not ergonomically comfortable to use. Really surprised, dewalt is usually fantastic, this is the first dud.

I have no suggestions for another option, but dewalt has earned my mocking scorn. Don't waste your money.

This vacuum works for 10-15 minutes max off one battery. It continually shuts off! Within a second or two of turning it on it just shuts off.

Packaging/appearance

After the dozen or so times i clogged the shop-vac, i should have figured this out sooner.

Competitiveness

Only 4 stars because it doesn't have a brushless motor like competitors.

I am able to completely clean the interior of my full-size bronco on one battery charge.

My other wet/dry is a 3 gallon shop-vac with loads of suction - more than this one.

Battery - i only have a 2-amp battery.
