Although i generally dont use them in place of regular sunglasses as i dont see anywhere in the description whether or not they provide any sort of special eye protection other than keeping fly objects out my guess is they dont

Most sunglasses dont fully shield your eyes and clear safety glasses dont block the sun

However the lenses scratch easily and i would be willing to pay up for higher quality poly carbonate lenses with scratch resistance for longevity of use
