Pros

Green line works very well outdoors as well. Indoor range 100ft, outdoor really depends on the lightning and time of the day. It is indoor super bright!

It is a keeper and will see a lot more use as i make progress with building out the interior of my cabin. Buddy of mine is a professional contractor. Weather it’s a small upgrade project or a professional need this laser is extremely handy.

The level is on the heavier side for the levels that i've seen. I'm already anticipating how easy this should make it to ensure my shed is level. It is self leveling.

Once the line is solid, you are good to go. Conditionally recommended. Parting thoughts. Works like a charm.

Cons

The laser is faulty and the window for return closed one month after purchase. This is literally just a very flimsy plastic tripod that you could find for under $15, with dewalts name slapped on the side.

Reviewer says he returned out-of-calibration units three times. Was almost 1 inch out of calibration at 18 feet. They produce an x amount of an inferior product and count on most not checking accuracy.

There is a little pictograph on it, but not enough to tell you what it does. The adjustment knob is called out on diagrams on page 1 and 3. You just have to keep flipping pages until you see text that refers to diagram numbers or call-out letters.

I don't think that the unit is overpriced, but it would be nice if the unit was rechargable.

Yes, it's expensive so don't get it to hang pictures.

Shipping

I requested a replacement that night, and the new one arrived in just a couple of days.

I wondered if jostling during shipping might have caused any damage.

Packaging/appearance

The shipping packaging was done with care in mind and ours arrived unblemished and in perfect working order.

Straight out of the box, i mounted it to a tripod and used it to level and plumb 3 lumber racks i was hanging in the shop without issue.

It came out of the box with the calibration spot on.

Competitiveness

They should add this to all of the dewalt lasers.

I do not believe you will find a better laser level for the money than this dewalt product.

You could even use this for hanging picture frams (i wouldn't but this solely for that, there are cheaper models).

At the present time, i own dewalt,bosch, and milwaukee products.
