It is a joy to pull it out for any project, as it feels and responds in the precise manner i paid for. Wow, its great, heavey & smooth.

Cons

Dont buy this * saw. It seems no matter how deeply you seat the blade it will pop out even cutting something as low stress as laminate flooring.

The pivoting shoe has a lock but the lock is worthless. It is loose and slips constantly. They easily crack at molded features.

Loses at least 20% of usability with that problem. I wonder if anyone at dewalt even tests their products before inflicting them on us. But it works marginally.

The built in dust blower is an excellent touch, works great when running at full speed.

I purchased this saw specifically for precision scroll work, such as cutting corbels on (fake) softwood beams.

I’ve been using a skill for years and have been very frustrated with it.

Price

I did not have access to it, and not sure i would have paid $50 extra for those conveniences.

I usually just but the $20 cheap junk saws.

True, there are cheaper alternatives when selecting a jigsaw.
