Pros

Tough as nails, good metal in it. Packaged okay. Cheaper than trying to make one.

Needed this part for my old craftsman 4 1/2 angle grinder. Works fine, in conjunction with previously described nut, and existing shield. The washer adds the correct height and support when using a cutoff disc.

Well satisfied. Bought this to fix the problem. Fits as expected.

This is ridiculous to fill out all of these boring words of non wisdom. It's not what i searched for.

Came shrink-wrapped on a dewalt cardboard label.

This is the right picture of the dw4706, many of other websites showed wrong picture.

Competitiveness

After looking online extensively,the part is as obsolete as sears,even the repair sites said no longer available.

I have found them as a stock item at sears, but if you have to use the flat ones, you need this item.

I can't believe that dewalt doesn't include this part with their grinders.
