This is the smoothest plunge router that i have used. We use it daily in the shop on 1 inch ext ac plywood. No one makes a smoother plunge system on the market.
For freehand use it's unbeatable. I also use it with the * router table but noticed that the plate to attach to does not have all holes to line up (* router plate has a pretty big variation of hole patterns) this thing rocks while using on my slab rou... Read More
The chuck is easy to manipulate and adjust. The stops are accurate and easy to adjust. Very accurate adjustments and hauls *.
The dw615 and dw621 are in fact made in switzerland by elu which is now a division of black and decker. It performs flawlessly. W ferris of cape town.

Quality
I'm not sure that it has the quality of the portercable 7539, but it hasn't let me down.
The plunge quality is smooth and the lock works perfectly.
Dewalt needs to address this as it downgrades their otherwise quality product.
I'd like to see the quality of the dials improved quite a bit, but the motor is strong.

No one makes a smoother plunge system on the market.

Possible suggestion for those that dont like the slick handles wrap them in friction tape that stuff that is like nonsmooth electrical tape
