Pros & Cons
Pros
The stand is well built and holds * 4410l miter saw just great. I'm not sure how you would handle the other saws, but mated with a dewalt saw, this is a good combo. My saw - a dw718 12 sliding miter is easy to snap in place and remove.
Two thumbs up for this product. I just wish my brain worked better so i would have bought it sooner. This stand is a compromise between the two.
I am a retired homeowner who loves to do remodeling projects around the home. This is a must have if you are cutting long pieces of lumber.
The adjustable arms are the perfect length for just about any stock. If you have to extend the ends to support long stock, you can always buy more of the supports and put them between the saw and the end to support flimsy stock. For my 718 the directi... Read More
The outrigger arms are solid and don't require an inordinate amount of fiddling to get them locked in place. The work stops are adjustable in height, and the * make it a breeze to clamp and unclamp the saw.
Cons
The arms themselves are flimsy, they sag very badly and don't slide in and out of the housing very well. If the mounting holes on your miter saw are not lined up with one another, the mounting brackets on the stand will not fit. When calling dewalt to... Read More
Highlights
Quality
The stand is a bit pricey, but to me it is worth it due to the quality and that it precisely fits the dewalt miter saw.
This items is a must, if you plan on delivering the quality results that that your dewalt 12 inch sliding compound saw is capable of.
The concern is that, over time, supporting the weight of the stand or, perish the thought, having the knob make hard contact wi... Read More
Pvc decking has many pluses and two particular minuses: it's hard to cut and it sags extremely.
Price
I thought the price was a bit high but it now seems like money well spent.
I have purchased two of these my self and there is nothing out there better price wise and durability wise.
Okay, the truth is the price had me questioning the value.
At the same time i saw the price jump up.
Shipping
This stand is so well made, fast and easy to set up and heavy duty.
Just what i order and more plus fast shipping with good tracking info.
Shipping is tough on them though - mine arrived with the paint chipped off all the corners, and several heavy drops that marred the legs.
I checked amazon and it was $140 with free shipping!
Competitiveness
I rated this a 4-star product because of the outrigger supports/stops; while they work, they are a bit of a pain to get set correctly.
It a no-brainer in my humble opinion.
Make sure you check the numbers when you compare prices.
10 inch blades are ten bucks cheaper on average than comprable 12's too- and when you burn through them like i do it can add up over time.
