Pros

The metal is thick, much, much thicker than the stands i see in hf. My husband is rare about compliments, so that is a biggie from him. It serves it purpose and was quicker to get into service than me building my own stand.

Tabletop is finished very well. It seems really sturdy. I wish the stand was a couple inches taller.

I like how it rolls, and then has a foot-activated drop-down so it sits stable. The wheels and the jacking caster work very smoothly.

The planer fits and secures with no problem. My only complaint is the dewalt sticker was crooked.

Easy to assemble. With the stand, the planer can be moved around in the shop. Assembly 101, fellas.

Cons

Dewalt qa is not what it once was. Mine was also scraped up and damaged inside its packing from the factory.

Really happy with it nice and sturdy

This stand is well made, sturdy and easy to assemble.

The surface had a nice hardened finish to it also, which makes it even worse that they screwed it up with unnecessary graphics.

If you run over a bump (like a power cord), it flips itself under the planer stand, vs just rolling over it.

Competitiveness

The levering wheel assembly is far more robust than the off-brand competitors - you instantly notice the difference upon unpacking.

That said, everything went together easier than the off brand i bought.
