Pros & Cons

Update Pros and Cons

Pros

Dewalt dw745 table saw is light weight (for a table saw) and has plenty of power to cut through 7/8 plywood all day. Safety features are pretty good for a portable table saw, which is an inherently dangerous power tool by its very nature.

The rip fence is very accurate and has a rack gear operation. Fast adjusting fence makes for quick changes when ripping down anything you need. The only thing i did not like is that there is no lock on the blade height.

Product is good. Kick * deal for a good saw. An excellent value for the money.

These allow for quick setup/takedown of the saw and stand. The folding stand is a must for portability. The stand is lightweight, compact, and solid.

Cons

Adjusting the saw blade parallel to the miter slots was maddening. It's too low, it's wobbly, the rulers are useless, and the plastic fence is super imprecise. Save your money and get something else.

Quality

Truly professional quality, sturdy, no sloppy craftsmanship.

With a high quality blade costing more than $75.

Me and the guys at work were very happy with the performance and features of the saw.

I am not surprised you don't get one with the saw.

Price

I believe this saw is now discontinued and i bought it for a very good price.

Shipping

Oh, i'm in hawaii and shipping was expensive but thank you amazon.

Packaging/appearance

The saw was set up actually and ready to go to work right out of the box.

I can re-use the same piece of electrical tape a bout 6 to 10 times before i have to replace it with a new piece of tape.

Competitiveness

Quick delivery and a great price for a portable well built tablesaw.

First tablesaw, just starting out as a small project wood worker.

With the addition of a shop-vac, the amount of saw dust mess after the job is pretty minimal.
