Pros & Cons

Pros

Sturdy carrying case keeps the blades out of harms way. The case is sturdy and holds everything in place nicely. The blade comes in a rugged black plastic carrying case.

Cut plywood and softwoods dado/ rabbet cuts and hardwood box joints. Comes with four chippers of varying widths. The chipper ends alternate in the case so all carbide teeth stay away from each other.

The dewalt dado blade has everything i was looking for in a stacking setup. Had all the different thickness shims. There is a guide that shows you what combination of spacers and blades to stack to get the correct width of your cut.

No stalling, no hesitation, no complaints whatsoever from my saw.

Cons

The set is no longer 8 but 8 1/8 in diameter, which is obviously an issue if you want to use it on a sawstop saw. The blade diameter thing is annoying as *; the advertising is a non-trivial screw-up. This seems strange to me since the could just ask t...  Read More

Quality

I am very pleased with the purchase and performance.

I was blown away by the quality of these.

Own another brand and was not happy with the performance.

Thought this had to do with the arbor length on dewalt saws but maybe not.

Price

Worth the price is you aren't needing this regularly and could always clean up the trough with a chisel.

Shipping

I just wish they updated their website description to indicate that they were shipping an 8 1/8 blade.

Competitiveness

Installed this in my sawstop jobsite saw.

It gives a flat bottom at all widths, and is completely compatible with my sawstop saw.

However, if you own a sawstop table saw, the extra 1/8 means the blade does not fit and just barely touches the brake.

For some sawstop models, you may be able to adjust the brake up and down so that this dado blade fits.

The instructions that came with the kit is a bit lacking so if you have never used a dado set before the instructions wont help much

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

The cut is also very flat requiring little or no cleanup afterwards

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

The website description along with the photos indicate the blade is 8

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

This is not the blade that i received i received a blade where the printed dimension reads 8 18

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

For whatever reason dewalt increased the size of their dado blades by 18

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

For most people it probably isnt

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

However if you own a sawstop table saw the extra 18 means the blade does not fit and just barely touches the brake

However for the jobsite table saw adjusting the brake is not possible and thus this blade will not fit at all
