Pros

It weighs around 49 lbs but it is manageable due to its compact shape. It is much easier to carry around than the slider which weighs 56 lbs.

The xps cut line indicator via a shadow line cast by an above blade led light is fantastic. It is way better than a laser which has fuzzy edges to the line. It references off the blade so it is always a perfect indicator.

A very nice ensemble. This is a terrific saw. The xps cutline is a miracle.

The saw came perfectly calibrated out of the box but adjusting everything is simple and well thought out. The shadow cast needs no calibration and is very accurate. This xps cutline isvery accurate and makes saves me a lot of time.

This is like upgrading from a donkey to a flying car. The strong and smooth motor is certainly up to the tasks per the specs for this saw. It isn't too loud nor has a whiny sound to it like some saws.

Cons

The saw is ok, but the xps light package is a loser. After switching the light on, there is no indication of the cut or kerf line. Only when the blade is lowered to just above the material.

The dust collection on this saw is basically nonexistent. My hitachi collects way more dust than this thing. Dewalt makes a great saw, but the new dust collection design on this particular machine is a hazard.

Dewalt makes the best tools and are on sale more than the competitors.

As far as i am concerned, the dewalt miter saw is the best one out there anywhere.

He said it had all the same features as the much more expensive compound miter saws .
