Pros

This vise is the perfect size for the realistic majority of diy projects you’re going to tackle. It's a lot bigger than i expected. Convenient size for workspace.

The clamping force when putting something in, is easy to get it really snug and tight. The knobs are hexes so they can be adjusted with a wrench.

The jaws are replaceable, that makes this essentially a lifetime item. They are 8 long, with up to a 7 1/2 opening and 7500 pounds clamping force. This is the widest i've ever seen jaws on a vise.

Dewalt seems to have sourced something a step above your typical bargain consumer brand. This item lives up to that name for quality and craftsmanship.

This has a quick release handle on the left side of the vice as you face it. This has two adjustment points to allow the vice to rotate 360 degrees, not one as someon else reported. I keep oil on the cylinder and underneath inside the long screw is.

Cons

These are much more lightweight and cheesy than expected. Hard to turn, sounded horrible (grinding sound throughout the range of travel) with a tight spot opening and closing. They are ok on very very lightweight material only, even a 2x4 is too much.... Read More
