Highlights
Quality
Multiple channels, great long range for a radio of this size and has excellent clarity.
Vibrating mode works well to alert of incoming call when wearing ear protection, etc
It was loud and disruptive to our dismissal process and students with extra sensitivities.
Good radios, just getting more flimsy over time, antenas break easily.
Competitiveness
Previous brands were virtually useless even at short range and clear line of sight.

I had googled a manual and learned that they come preset with a “default” dcsctss privacy code per channel which means you will have to play with these settings before they will play well with a nondewalt radio that does not have its privacy codes set

On the other hand the presets mean you’ll be less likely to hear background chatter when using other dewalt radios
