A solidly made radio from dewalt. really good. yeah, a bit tricky. The menus are a bit cryptic.
Range is fine for communicating in a reasonable site. It has a decent range, obviously affected by what obstacles you put in its way. It makes sense to carry an alternate means of communication.

Managed over 6 hours of random usage on a single charge and still had 2 bars out of 4 battery left so the 12 hour claim isnt unreasonable

Wed previously relied on battery operated doorbells she also has a wrist alert which contacts a call centre if need be but though perfect around the house they were unreliable if i was working in the garden the signal didnt always get through and the alarm wasnt loud enoughespecially as we live beside a busy main road
