Pros

It has a nice grippy rubber base, powerful neodymium magnets so that you can attach it to metal surfaces easily. Indoor range 100ft, outdoor really depends on the lightning and time of the day. The green line works very well outdoors as well.

Dewalt self-leveling laser level is very easy to use. I'm already anticipating how easy this should make it to ensure my shed is level.

Conditionally recommended. First, my one little rant - the manual. It is advisable to read the manual first before you begin.

I own thousands of tools and this is my favorite. This is pricey, but we own many desalt products. That's pretty darned tough.

Cons

The laser is faulty and the window for return closed one month after purchase. This is a flimsy plastic tripod that you could find for under $15. Save your money and buy a decent camera tripod.

Very pleased that it works on an old camera tripod and the battery life seems good with the 4 aas.

Bottom line it’s built with the construction site on mind, sturdy and rugged.

Literally just have to pull it out and set it on the floor or mount it with the magnet, on a tripod or even on a shark's head.

As a home owner, i'd save 50% and go with the huepar.

The dewalt dw089cg is definitely upmarket, with beefier construction and above average packaging for protecting the optics.

The shipping packaging was done with care in mind and ours arrived unblemished and in perfect working order.

If you are a contractor or a serious diyer, this tool will make your life much easier.

As it is, i'm using 2800ma rechargable aas in it, and haven't had any issues.

At the present time, i own dewalt,bosch, and milwaukee products.
