Pros
Product has yet to miss a stud. Used it to setup 2 overhead storage racks attached to the ceiling joists.
For $10ish, it’s a solid little stud finder. Seems like the one battery lasts just as long as the device lol. And it is sleek and small. Saved $200 by installing myself.
Good at locating studs. No problem identifying wall studs and their center points. This finds the center of the stud, not the edges, which is great.
Cons
Either this stud has moves like jagger or the unit is junk. Works intermittently and does not lock on the stud. The entire manual has no words, just terrible ikea-esq drawings that dont make any points.
It’s demonstrably worse than just exploratory drilling. Now i have to repaint my wall from trying to use it. This stud finder is unusable and i wish i hadn't bought it.

The ergonomic design fits comfortably in my hand, and the led indicators are clear and easy to read.
If you do all of these steps and it’s still not working for you maybe it isn’t the best product and i lucked out.
If you’re looking for a reliable stud finder, dewalt has nailed it with this one!

All and all it's a good price and it did find the studs without issue.
Priced fine and works as i expected.
And did i mention i got it on sale.

The two arrows point you whichever direction when you’re on the stud to get you in the middle of the stud

So i was very skeptical to purchase this after seeing the reviews however it was on sale and i love dewalt products plus i like to develop opinions based on my own experiences so i bought it to give it a try at first i when holding it outside the package i thought to myself this is so lightweight and cheap now i see what everyone was talking about

Also you have to keep your hand in the same position once it’s on the wall you can’t be moving your fingers or hands at all this will throw off the calibration you also need to make sure your opposite hand and arm are at your side and away from the hand with the finder if you touch the wall with your other hand or even bring it near the hand your using to locate the stud it will throw off the calibration

The light that indicates power lines constantly comes on but not when im near the electrical outlet where the wires definitely are
