The screws that come on the plate were too long for what i was trying to do because i wasnt installing it into an electrical mountplate or whatever you call it into1 the ceiling or wall where normally you would hardwire it

I just fixed the plate to the drywall and installed the wall sconce to the plate and used battery operated puck lights
