Pros
The lamp shade is adjustable so you can direct the light exactly where you want it. It is perfect for behind a couch or beside a reading chair. The foot button is a bonus as is the tilt! Overall very happy with this lamp, would reccomend.
Base is heavy and the lamp is sturdy. Construction is solid and the coating is thick. Easy to put together and very sturdy.
The only downside is there was some scratches on it from transporting - looks like 2 pieces rubbed together. I hope it doesn't break or anything crazy. It is perfect. The only thing is- it's kind of a dirty gold.

Competitiveness
In fact, it looks better than lamps i've seen in expensive lamp stores that would cost much more.
I gladly scooped this up after researching similar styles at local retailers for much more money.
A lot of the stuff i found in the market and in stores were quite expensive 200+ and they weren't even the same design i was looking for.
For the value, the headache of its flaws pale in comparison to the value that it brings.

Be cognizant of the fact that its a very small shade not what one may consider a standard size shade

However the edge of that base felt a bit thin and can easily bend if banged against something so i was just careful when placing it around
