Pros & Cons
Pros
The rough hewn look of a hand cut ice is cool but time consuming. Easy to remove the cubes and refreeze. The cubes are easy to retrieve, although you have to break the clear cube off.
Ice maker can be used in an igloo cooler or chest freezer.
Use filtered water for clearer ice, use warm water on tray to release ice and prevent cracking. Each ice cube has its own, two piece mold.
Highlights
Quality
This is by-far the best ice cube tray for clear ice cubes that i have ever used.
Tap water works very good and is the easiest.
The molds lift effortlessly out of the bin, and getting the ice cubes out of the mold was as simple as pulling them apart.
The tray itself is not very large and doesn't take up a large amount of space in your freezer.

The last time i tried my hand at clear ice cubes was years ago before any of these specialized trays existed and you had to punch holes in a silicon ice cube tray and then put it in a cooler in your freezer
