What you do is press the reset button and from that point onwards it will show the highest temperature it reached since the reset button was pressed

The only other way i saw to get this highest temp history was to get one of those wireless units where the thermometer was inside the fridge and the display outside but i thought they were too expensive and a bit of overkill
