The pole comes with an extension pole to make it longer or you can make it shorter. It is very strong and fits in the holder snug. Comes in several segments that screw in together to get to 6 feet. They screw together tightly and have held up in gusts... Read More

It fits very loosely and if you plan on going over 25 mph good luck! It is very flimsy. The end of the pole is now dented, almost smashed together.
