If you want the gif to loop more than once, you have to duplicate the frames in your gif and make it twice as long. When connection is lost, it also forgets the playlist previously selected.

Could have spent $15 on a similarly sized wall clock and received the same amount of use. I don't find the brightness lacking, in fact i find it to be much too bright for my taste and have not found a way to tweak the brightness or color temperature.
