The shoe lace on one of these new shoes was broken in the unopened box.
I wanted something dressier than the timberland boat-shoes i normally wear, but still casual for a light packing trip.

It appears that the only other option is to return these shoes and take a chance that maybe the replacement shoes might have better laces

I cannot find an option to get replacement laces or to get a price allowance for me to purchase replacement laces
