These run small to start. If you want them to fit as visually advertised, then these run really small. They shrink even more once you wash them.

The inside of the waistband is a white fabric and the way the inside is stitched, the white waistband folds over the outside thereby showing a white line above the belt. Unwearable for me due to thigh issues. Waist is smaller than normal 40w.
