These shorts fit the bill and now have become my preferred product.
Docker's does not seem to have suffered from the drop in quality seen so often in other products
Since the waist has some expandability, if you are on the border between two waist sizes you can go with the smaller one.
Otherwise, it is the standard of quality i have come to expect from the brand.
Price
Great fit and good price (on sale).
Shorts feel good, look good at a decent price
Very nice but $30 would be over my price had my wife not bought them.

Shorts are now 90% to 98% cotton and a few percent elastane, lycra, spandex for some manmade fabric for stretch and/or wrinkle control.
Cannot be a better product for the price value.

Perhaps that savings to amazon funds the process of not billing you until you tell them you want to keep the item or your decision window expires
