Pros

Reformat with apfs and guid partition map. Installed win 10 on it and laptop is orders of magnitude faster.

Bought to replace a faulty msata in a protecli network device. Using it as an ssd for a raspberry pi 3b+. One issue with this drive is the thickness, the foil shield from the deck for the drive is very difficult to put on, but will still fit.

Good quality drive for the price. Works flawlessly in my steam deck.

Cons

After 3 months of use, this storage locks up tighter than abs brakes. Worked fine for 5 months, then suddenly not recognized. Contacted dogfish support via their webform -- got no response.

The write speed is really good (considering it's in a usb-c case) and more importantly, it doesn't get hot even with heavy writing.

Plug and play (well install windows and play).

After it reformats, close the window and you will see a screen with the choices of how to reinstall the operating system.

Choose disk utilities and reformat with apfs and guid partition map.

Price

For a fairly inexpensive drive, this seems to work pretty well.

With such large storage, this is one of many that i found at a decent price.

0 so no point in buying a higher priced pcie 4.

But i paid way too much for it, price dropped a lot now
