Pros & Cons
Pros
Tom hollanddiscusses the dark side of christian history. Holland argues that the source of humanist values is not to be found in science or reason but in christianity.
Nassim taleb's book is a game-changer. The kindle edition enables a profound reading experience. The audiobook version is also excellent.
Tom holland is an exceptional writer. He delves into topics that are an unexpected pleasure. The only disappointment is that he mails it in for the last chapter.
Tom holland shows how christian precepts came to saturate. Holland expertly guides us through two millennia with a captivating, balanced, and inspiring narrative.
Cons
The book is a collection of selected stories without any attempt at being comprehensive. Holland creates an illusion of a coherent, uncomplicated past that never really existed. This book is dull, dull, and dull.
