Good to replace the old bulb with the led, it is bright enough.
I wouldn't mind comparing it with the retail led maglites to see how they compare.
Positive/negative wires need to be swapped in the lantern to get the correct polarity with the led.
Price
Will buy a few more to replace other low price old flashlights.
Competitiveness
At medium wide beam, the standard maglite donut shape will form, but this one is really round.
This was an easy upgrade for a 2 d cell 3v maglite flashlight.
It does not equal a maglight flashlight with led, but for useful needs home.

Some other bulbs in some cases costing a couple bucks less with stated voltage ranges of 318v have no tolerance for even the slightest voltage dip below 3v

Would have given a 5 star if not for a minor issue the displacement of the light source is not the same as the incandescent light bulb
