When i bought it was debating leaving it white or painting it but when it arrived there was no doubt it would have to be painted

It was more off white than white and would not have worked in my daughters pink and gray room

One thing i wasnt sure about based on item description and reviews was whether or not the headboard would be compatible with a lowprofile box spring

The holes did not line up with our twin beds so i was able to get 1 bolt in per side and zip tie the rest

But if i would have read the directions first i would have seen where it tells you not to screw them all the way in till you have them all together

Only reason for marking it down is that if you want white white this is not what you will want
