Pros

Hat fits true to size. If it is windy, i just use the chin strap.

This is my second dpc hat and it did not disappoint. Much better than my former tilley hat, at about 1/3 the price. The solarweave safari hat works. It looks good too, even on me!

A head sweater, the mesh top lets the air in and lets the heart out. The solid top keeps my bald head from burning. The mesh body let the air circulate to keep me cool.

The wide brim and spf factor are just what i needed. The underside of the brim is a dark green, this is important for reducing the glare from the water from reflecting in my face. Wide flap and brim.

Light weight, breathable and well made. They pack flat, hold up in all types of weather and are basically indestructible. The embroidered tags on the sweat-band adds a touch of dedication for quality.

Cons

The material is cheap and stiff.

(my head measures 23") medium proved to be too small.

Price

I went with white and paid a little more but it's the coolest temp wise on my head than any other color.

Professionally packaged and shipped which again is a plus.

Packaging/appearance

This hat has everything i shopped for: packable, wide brim, spf 50 and chin strap.

Arrived well packaged, fits well, and looks good.

This was fulfilled by amazon who rolled this 14" hat into a 6" wide umbrella sized box crushing it completely.

The l was obviously repackaged by amazon in a box about half the size of the other.

Competitiveness

This is the second one i have owned of this exact brand and style.

Resorted to shopping local so i could try them on, and purchased a similar dorfman pacific model with better fit.
