I have had three issues with these boots so far first the laces broke about 3 months ago but i easily found replacements at a shoe store for about 3 second i have worn the tread down almost flat because i am constantly walking on hard concrete ground covered in metal shavings and other debris and this has reduced the slip resistance but they are still perform reasonably well and third a small hole has developed towards the top of the boot on the side but this is due to a repeated task specific to my job in a factory that has been putting wear on that particular spot for the last two years it only developed within the last few weeks and is no bigger than a dime

Even with heavier socks they do not feel too snug
