This product seems to be well made, and while it claims to be, " ipx7 waterproof," (whatever that means) i can see at least 5 places around the battery door and the scale hook, where water will penetrate, (the electronics may still be sealed from this penetration, so there may not be a problem) but i don't know just how waterproof it can really be, only time will tell!  Read Less
