Display is easy to read and gives you an instant readout. Included instructions are easy to understand. Quick, easy to use, and inexpensive.
Cons
Meter reads dry when my other meter reads moist. This only works well with certain mediums as my kis organic aerated living soil is always “driest it can be” even after watering. Yet coco is usually read as moist and more accurately.
The product is not accurate at all. It's either defective or ineffective. This product is defective.

Works great & super easy to use.
This water meter helps me regulate my watering; it seems i like to overwater or dry out my plants.
It never worked and after trying for a week i finally tossed it in the trash.
Following instructions, after first use, i wiped the metal probe to clean it.
Packaging/appearance
A nice addition is a chart on the box with a plethora of plants listed and their recommended moisture levels.
Competitiveness
I tried another brand that just stopped measuring the water, or lack thereof.
Tried other brands, but weren't as good.
A few weeks earlier i purchased a different brand that was similar looking but shorter.

No batteries needed just put it in the plant and the meter shows moisture level right away
